What a great switch. I replaced my older version of it that had no web browser, or link aggregation, but I have used it for many many years too many to remember (I’ll keep it around as a backup). I bought this switch for its link aggregation feature. I use link aggregation to connect my upstairs 1GB devices to my downstairs 10GB network where my servers are. I also use link aggregation to connect my ASUS RT-AC5300 since it supports multi-channel 5Ghz. I have had very great success with Netgear switches (My 10GB switch is Netgear too). Extremely reliable, high quality, last forever, and Netgear keeps the firmware updated. I just retired my 1GB Netgear switch, it still works fine (I’ll keep it around as a backup to my 10GB switch).

When you read in the switch description: “8-Port Gigabit Smart Managed Pro Switch, PoE/PoE+”, and you are dealing with similar devices on the daily basis you’d assume that this is an 8-port PoE device, right?
Wrong.
That switch doesn’t supply neither 802.3af nor 802.3at; it’s SUPPLIED its power via PoE (!).
Totally deceiving; unfortunately I discarded the packaging and cannot return it…

Update: Netgear Support contacted me shortly after my original Amazon review and in less than a week, I had a working power adapter. Based on the fast service, I added a star to the review.
==========
This review is for a ProSafe GS108T 8 port Gigabit smart switch.
Positive: Great value in a switch that supports Link Aggregation; this switch support LAG on all ports
Mediocre: The web interface is cumbersome, a model of user interface inefficiency.
Negatives: (1) the Smart Control Center software was useless for my purposes since it could never find the GS108T, hence my comments about the web interface; (2) the “LIFETIME” warranty is difficult to use if you value your own time because Netgear requires the customer to TELEPHONE them; on my switch, the Power Supply FAILED, but the only way to get it replaced is to call Netgear with a case number. Clearly, this approach is intended to discourage customers from making warranty claims because my hold time was almost 60 minutes before my call was answered.
