This thing is SO GREAT for the price! My computer Webcam was so awful that I figured spending less than 10$ on this would be a worth it risk. I was so surprised. The video quality is good (far better than my built in Webcam) and the LEDs and super bright. There was no setup, you just plug it in and change your video input to the Webcam. The only things I’m confused about it the button on top and the fact that it says it zooms but doesn’t. Also, keep in mind that you do have to manually focus it.

I was expecting much less than this for the price. The image is very good but you do need to focus the camera to get a clear picture. The LEDs are **very** bright and dimmable, but the dimmer switch offers very little control of the brightness. One extreme is off, 90% of the travel is so dim the lighting may as well be off and the remaining 10% offers very sensitive control of the brightness.
The camera picks up the image even in low light levels, so while the LEDs might be nice for some people (I’ll never use them), a microphone would be much more useful than LEDs.
I bought several of these to use as hidden security cameras and needed to remove the housing to conceal them more easily. These were much cheaper than cameras designed for that and work perfectly. The circuit board measures 1 3/16″ by 1″. It is 1 1/8″ front to back, but could easily be cut down to 3/4″, under 1/2″ would be possible.
Ah, working from home…must be nice!
hehe it has its pluses 🙂 (and minuses)

Amazing little video camera. Plugged it in and it worked fine and easily integrates with Skype. I also got a USB microphone. Both together were under $12.00. Video conferencing has improved greatly in the last few years, Full Screen and fast. If you want to do basic type voice and video communication this is an excellent option. Wish it was available in a model that would mount on the monitor.
